Mzuzu police recover stolen vehicle

Police in Mzuzu last Friday recovered a stolen vehicle, a Toyota Spacio registration MN 3194, belonging to Silaj Colla, a Malawian of Asian descent.

Mzuzu Police Station spokesperson Martin Bwanali said the vehicle was stolen on Thursday night when a gang of six broke into the house of Colla where they also made away with two suitcases of assorted clothes, two Samsung smartphones, LG DVD player and K20 000 cash.

Bwanali said the thieves locked up in a toilet Colla’s wife, her friend and their children. He said the vehicle was found abandoned at Zigwagwa Market in Mzuzu. The suspects are still on the run, according to police.
