After rocking the country with his hit Mtendere, gospel artist Patience Namadingo has returned with his third album Lero, due for release next month.
Namadingo told The Nation that the 11-track album is complete and is awaiting release.
“I have already released two singles, Ndinyade and Fumu Kale, for promotion purposes,” he said.
Unlike most albums where the title of the album is also a title of a song, Lero is a running theme through the album.
“There is no song called Lero in it. Lero is the theme of my album. The album talks about today. If it’s about healing, salvation or a decision to follow Christ then that should be done today. Today matters most,” explained Namadingo.
Namadingo said the album has incorporated a variety of genres to appeal to a wider audience.
“I am trying to move along with the winds, giving Malawians what they want while at the same time do what I like. It’s both for the artist and the audience,” he said.
The album has been recorded at OBK, New Dawn Records and Mathumela Productions. Some of the tracks include Ndili Mwana, He Will be There, Change the World and Lingalira.
Namadingo has two other albums, Gosheni and Tili ndi Yesu.
Lero is his first production under Nde’feyo Entertainment.
