Namulenga Church of Christ holds Harvest Sunday

Last Sunday was Harvest Sunday for members of Namulenga Church of Christ when they gave to God in submission to his commandments.

Resident pastor Bizwick Nseula said Harvest Sunday is one of the major pillars of the Christian faith, adding that believers are obliged to observe the day for them to receive abundant blessings from God.

“Christians need to give wholeheartedly and God will reward them with even more abundant harvests because he can’t allow his own to go hungry,” said Nseula.

The pastor said this year’s collection will go towards feeding the needy, orphans and vulnerable children.

“As the area experienced acute drought, we expect a big number of our members to go hungry before the rainy season. And that has contributed to the amount of maize our members have brought to the house of the Lord. But still, the little maize we have gathered will go a long way in alleviating the suffering of those who will benefit from our distribution,” said Nseula.

Namulenga Church of Christ has about 700 followers, according to Nseula.
