NBM among top most admired African financial brands

National Bank of Malawi (NBM) has been named among the Top 25 Most Admired Financial Services Brands on the continent.

The African Business magazine announced the top 25 most admired financial services brands in its latest November 2015 issue.

The financial brands awards are part of the magazine’s Top 100 Most Admired Brands awards which are presented every year to outstanding companies on the continent.

NBM has been ranked 15 on the list, which is topped by Nigeria’s First Bank.

In an interview with The Nation on Tuesday, NBM corporate affairs manager Anne Magola said despite having operations in Malawi, ‘the bank of the nation’ adheres to international standards and competes with the so called ‘international banks’.

She said: “Our standards are 100 percent international and that is perhaps why we are among the top 25 most admired financial brands in Africa.”n
