nedbankNedbank managing executive for rest of Africa subsidiaries, Adriaan du Plessis, arrives in Malawi today for a two day maiden country visit, the bank has said.

Nedbank Malawi managing director Paul Guta said during his visit, Plessis will meet the Reserve Bank of Malawi (RBM) governor, some Cabinet ministers and the bank’s customers and staff.

He said the visit will also showcase the focus and vested interest that the Nedbank Group has on its Malawi operations.

“As you know, Nedbank Malawi is part of a big bank—the Nedbank Group, with footprint in Africa as well as outside of Africa in the Americas and Europe. As such we are positioned to leverage off this rich heritage in order to deliver exceptional service and offerings to our clients. Just as we say it in our pay-off line, we remain keen to make things happen in Malawi in 2014 and beyond,” said Guta.

Plessis was appointed managing executive for rest of Africa in December 2013.
