“First and foremost, I have established the studio to help young and upcoming urban artists to make good quality music. Music has been a passion of mine ever since I was born and it has always been a dream of mine to be part of it. With the recurring revolution in Malawian urban music, it is my fervent desire to try and enhance our musical landscape to reach greater heights,” said Kaunda.

AGM studios, located in Mandala, boasts of a resident producer Bright ‘Excess’ Chiligo who also doubles as an engineer.

“Our goal is to invest in new innovations in regards to studio hardware, with the hope of keeping on a par with the world class recording set-ups,” he hinted, adding that the name AGM had been derived from his late father’s initials, as a tribute to him.
