“It is done now. I have signed up to the end of the season with an option for an extension,” he said in an interview from Limpopo Province yesterday.

Ng’ambi, 32, had been without a club since mid this year when he agreed to a mutual termination of his contract with Platinum Stars after they were relegated to the National First Division (NFD).

In confirming Ng’ambi’s signing, Leopards’ team manager Elijah Mulaudzi told Soccer Laduma that they have signed the experienced midfielder as part of their drive to strengthen the team and move out of the murky waters .

“[I can confirm that] we have signed Robert Ng’ambi,” he was quoted as having said.
Ng’ambi joins Lehlogonolo Masalesa, who has also recently signed for the side.

Leopards are currently 12th in the 16-team Absa Premiership with 13 points from 14 games of which they have won three, drawn four and lost the rest.
Lidoda Dhuva, as Leopards are popularly known, are set to meet Baroka FC in their next league fixture on January 6 after the festive break.

Ng’ambi’s deal at Leopards has increased the number of Malawian players in the PSL to three. The others are Limbikani Mzava (Golden Arrows) and Frank ‘Gabadinho’ Mhango (Bidvest Wits).
