Communities from Nayuchi, Sub-Traditional Authority (ST/A) Mchinguza in Machinga have expressed satisfaction with the work of Youth Response for Social Change (YRSC).

Speaking at Nayuchi on Saturday during a media tour, Patricia Mwanjana said the non-governmental organisation (NGO) has fulfilled most of its pledges.

“Before the NGO came, there was high school dropout, maternal and child deaths were the order of the day, low utilisation of family planning methods that led to increased number of children per household, among other vices,” she said.

YRSC executive director Lamecks Kiyare said his organisation embarked on the interventions after seeing that many people in the area do not have a clear understanding on issues such as sexual reproductive health and rights.
