A charity, Team Oasis, has motivated children living with HIV at Nkalo Health Centre in Chiradzulu to enable them live positively.

In a statement made available to The Nation, Team Oasis said it held the event in partnership with Yplus which complements Team Oasis’ efforts in reaching out to children living with HIV.

Reads the statement in part: “One of the aims is to ensure that the children are in good health. So, the team donated food items to 30 children which included five packs of soya pieces, one litre of cooking oil and one packet of sugar to each child.”

In his remarks, Yplus programmes coordinator Maxwell Mtiwa said the children need support to boost their nutrition.

Nkalo Health Centre in-charge Rosetta Mugawa encouraged the children to open up on their needs so that well-wishers know the right kind of help needed for their health.

Team Oasis communications officer Limbikani Munthali said they want the children to have access to food and other basic health needs.

“More importantly, we want to see the children healthy so they can become productive citizens,” he said.
