Seasoned gospel musician Allan Ngumuya will today (Sunday) hold his first and last performance for 2013 at Blantyre Cultural Centre before he resurfaces with another performance in August 2014.
Ngumuya, who is one of the country’s most prolific gospel musicians, said he likes to perform once a year so he can dish out the best performance.
He said he decided to perform today to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ with his fans.
“I always take time to give a performance because I like to get fully prepared in order not to disappoint. Having last performed in May last year, I have decided to perform this Sunday [today] just to celebrate with my fans as we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.
“After this performance, I will come back in August 2014 when I will be celebrating my silver jubilee as a pioneer of gospel music in the country,” said Ngumuya.
Ngumuya has over 10 albums to his credit.
