Nico regional netball finals Saturday

The K1.7 million (about $5 666) Nico Life Insurance netball regional finals for northern Malawi will take place on Saturday, chairperson of the Northern Region Netball Committee (NRNC), Alick Mkandawire, has said.

He said the finals will involve district champions.

“It is true we are having the regional finals at the Rosedale Court in Mzuzu. Games start on Friday and the finals will be staged on Saturday. Thereafter, there will be a reception at the Mzuzu Hotel.”

Mkandawire said teams expected in the finals include Khaiko Sisters (Likoma Island), Bruce Sisters (Mzimba), Rumphi United, Paladin Sisters (Karonga), Brumaga (Nkhata Bay), Chitipa Secondary School and Lameck Queens (Mzuzu).

Meanwhile, NRNC executive member, Tamara Fweta, has warned that teams that will report late for the games will be disqualified.
