Nigerian gospel artist dates Malawi
Nigerian award-winning gospel artist Jimmy D Psalmist, famous for his song Mighty man of war, is expected to perform on May 12 at Bingu International Convention Centre (Bicc) in Lilongwe.
His performance comes a week after South African gospel artist Benjamin Dube’s performance at the same venue on May 4. Jacobs Management Media coordinator, DJ Maya said preparations are underway.
“He will be arriving next month and preparations are at an advanced stage. We are promising fireworks,” he said.
DJ Maya added that the Great Angels Choir and Ethel Kamwendo-Banda will be the curtain-raisers.
Earlier this week, Jimmy D Psalmist posted on his Instagram page: “Malawi … It’s your season 12th May at Bicc …spread the news and get ready.”
In an interview, the artist said he can’t wait for the show which comes at a time he is promoting his new singles that includes Consuming Fire.
“This will be my first time in Malawi and I can’t afford to disappoint because I hear Malawians enjoys my songs,” said the I trust in you hit-maker.
Some of his famous songs to thrill the patrons include I surrender, Great and Mighty, Power of the blood, Great and terrible and El’igwe. n
