Ayaya City Stable boxer Hajson Nkoka and Lilongwe-based pugilist Jobson Adams fight in an eight-round non-title bout this Sunday at Kamuzu Institute of Sports (KIS) in Lilongwe.

Both boxers drew their recent bouts against Malani Kayuni and John Masamba respectively, hence they need to repair their tainted images to make a meaningful challenge for a title match.

The bout, which has been organised by Fast Boxing Promotions, will be curtain-raised by a fight between Philemon Nkhakamila Banda and John Masamba.

Nkoka, who has 17 wins, three draws and five losses, said he is more than ready to sort out Adams.

“He should be prepared to walk back home with a disfigured and bloodied face. I learned from my recent bout against Malani that these kids become disrespectful if they win or draw against a big star like me,” boasted Nkoka, who turned professional in 2007.

But Adams feels he will be the better fighter come Sunday afternoon because experience has taught him to let the fists rather than words.

“I am not a tough talker but a tough fighter. Nkoka does not know me to the core. He needs to do his homework before he can speak anything against me; otherwise, I will make him eat his vomit on Sunday,” said Adams, who so far has 28 victories, a draw and a loss.
