Former Red Lions coach Collins Nkuna has replaced Moyale Barracks FC coach Nicholas Mhango who is out on peace keeping mission in Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

Mhango will be out for a year and his absence would have affected the team’s participation in the 2016 TNM Super League.

Moyale acting team manager Chimwemwe Banda said Nkuna has all the qualities to make the team do well in the new season.

“We are putting all things in order so that we should achieve our vision of finishing the Super League in top two. The hiring of Nkuna demonstrates our seriousness. We are sure that his presence means good things because he is well qualified and experienced coach,” said Banda.

Moyale finished the 2015 Super League on position nine in the 15-team unit.

According to Banda, Nkuna will be assisted by Charles Kamanga.

So far, two weeks has gone since Nkuna started coaching Moyale.

However, Nkuna was sacked as Red Lions coach in October last year due to poor results.

When contacted to comment on his new role as Moyale head coach, Nkuna said he is looking forward to a good working relationship with the team.

“It is true that I will be with Moyale as a head coach. I have accepted the challenge of making the team achieve top two position in the 2016 TNM Super League. I know that this is possible, what is more important is to have good working relationship with the rest of the team members,” he said. n
