The Super League of Malawi (Sulom) has said there will be no advance ticket sales for the Blantyre derby which features age old rivals Be Forward Wanderers and Nyasa Big Bullets.
The most sought after fixture on the domestic scene is slated for this Saturday at the Bingu National Stadium (BNS) in Lilongwe.
On why there is no pre-sale of tickets, Sulom treasurer Tiya Somba-Banda said: “We are making further cost benefit analysis on the same.”
However, he said there will be pre-sale of corporate box tickets, hopefully from today.
The flagship league runners have maintained the K2 000 charges for open stands while VIP and corporate box tickets will be selling at K5 000 and K10 000, respectively.
A Lilongwe-based Bullets fan Sammy Joshua described the entry fee as reasonable, “considering that it is a high-profile match and that teams are struggling financially”. n
