No confusion for Tonse Alliance-Chilima
Vice President Saulos Chilima who is the runningmate for MCP’s Lazarus Chakwera in the forthcoming fresh election, has said that Tonse Alliance, which has been formed by nine parties will not tolerate confusion.
Speaking at a breakfast and prayers event in Lilongwe earlier today, Chilima was upbeat that the alliance will win the election and will ensure that they continue working together.
Chilima announced that another member of the Tambala family who was admitted to hospital after they were petrol-bombed, died this morning, bringing the total number of deaths in the family to three. On Wednesday, a mother and a 15-year-old child died due to effects of the injuries they sustained when their house was set ablaze by unknown assailants.
In his remarks, Tonse Alliance leader Lazaraus Chakwera hinted that today’s prayers were meant for the clergy to pray for them before they begin campaigning. Malawi Electoral Commission launched an official campaign on Saturday last week.
