No man is able to change the other (1)

Listen to this article

Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? 2 Corinthians 6:14

Do not make the grave mistake of marrying an unbeliever thinking that you are going to change him/her. No one is able to change the other, this is God’s work. You can only operate in a glorious realm if you marry a Christian who is committed to the things of God and has opened his/her heart to be ministered to.

Much as most people have gotten themselves committed to the things of God, one still has to take time to know the other well. According to Matthew 7:22-23 “Many will say to me on that day, Lord, Lord did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles? Then I will tell them plainly, I never knew you, away from me, you evil doers. ”

There are people who have gotten themselves in the business of God with hidden agendas, like finding a Christian spouse. After they have achieved the goal, they go back to their old ways and start behaving badly, displaying their true colours.

Therefore, it is not a question of being active in the things of God, but also allowing God to speak to your life through His word, found in the Bible, to change and transform one to His likeness.
