No ticket sales on Flames match days

FAM has said entry tickets for the Flames forthcoming games will not be sold at the match venue, Kamuzu Stadium, on the days of the matches.

Football Association of Malawi (FAM) chief executive officer Suzgo Nyirenda said this when he announced entry charges for the Flames forthcoming assignments to be staged at Kamuzu Stadium.

The Flames are scheduled to host Zimbabwe’s Warriors in a friendly on May 25 at Kamuzu Stadium. They will also host Namibia’s Brave Warriors and Kenya’s Harambee Stars in 2014 World Cup qualifiers on June 5 and 12 respectively at the same venue.

Nyirenda also announced that fans will K1 000 (about $2.50) for Open Stands in the 2014 World Cup qualifiers against Brave Warriors and Harambee Stars.

Entry fee at MBC Stand has been pegged at K2 500 (about $6.25) while an entry ticket for Covered Stands will cost K5 000 (about $12.50).

A seat in the VIP enclosure will cost K10 000 (about $25).

He also said FAM will only print 17 000 tickets for each game and as has been the case in the recent past, there will be pre-sale of tickets three days before each game.

FAM has also announced entry fees for next weekend’s international friendly match against Zimbabwe which will be as follows: Open Stands: K500; MBC Stand: K1 500; Covered Stands: K3 000; VIP: K5 000.
