Mighty Wanderers coach Gerald Phiri has said while winning the Super League is beyond them this season, they could still sneak into the top-five.

The Nomads coach said the 1-0 win over league title contenders Blue Eagles on Saturday in Balaka gave him hope that they can meet such a target.

WanderersThe win saw the Nomads move a place up the ladder to 10th from 11th with 20 points from 17 games.

“I am happy that the boys played according to instructions and today’s result has given me confidence that we can claim a top five finish,” he said.

The game against Eagles was the third in the second-round for the Nomads in which they have won two and lost one.

Phiri’s target in this round is to win 10 games, draw two and he also anticipates to lose at least two games.

Cuthbert Sinetre, who is fast developing into the Nomads’ talisman, scored the lone goal of the match in the 60th minute with a fabulous long-range missile.
