Nomads clinch 4th spot
Mighty Be Forward Wanderers on Thursday handed an early Christmas present to their supporters when they continued their fine form with a 1-0 victory over Red Lions at Kamuzu Stadium.
Jabulani Linje sealed the Nomads’ victory to secure the fourth position with 45 points.
But Blue Eagles’ mission of grabbing the runners-up spot crumbled after they were held to a goalless draw by Moyale Barracks at Mzuzu Stadium.
The draw means Eagles have failed to dislodge Mafco on second position.
Silver Strikers and Azam Tigers settled for a one-all draw at Silver Stadium.
The Bankers have finished the season with 44 points, below the Nomads.
Tigers finish on sixth position and will not need a vote to participate in the Standard Bank Knockout Cup next year.
The Super League season wraps up on Sunday with a ceremonial match since Big Bullets already clinched the championship a couple of weeks ago.
