Nomads players are assured of continued sponsorship

“It is an ongoing process, but in terms of extending the sponsorship beyond this season, they have given us an assurance to extend the sponsorship, having been satisfied with how things are going,” he said.

Butao also said from the discussions they had, they are expecting the number of their Japanese partners to increase from the current 22.

The Nomads have also asked their sponsors to help them explore other local partners to complement their current sponsorship.

The request was made through Be Forward Limited’s marketer Shingo Kakinuma who was in the country.

“Basically, he came to check on how Be Forward’s customer centres are doing, but we also took it as an opportunity to ask him if they could help us in that area and he agreed,” said the Nomads GS.

While confirming the development, a member of Be Forward management team Rotura Mae said they will issue a statement.

At the start of the current season, the Japanese second-hand automobile dealers and other partners reportedly hiked the Lali Lubani Road outfit’s annual sponsorship from K100 million to K153 million.

Wanderers’ Japanese partners include official shirt sponsor Macron, MOL, NYK, Sun Phoenix, Global Line, SYNC Logistics.
