Mighty Wanderers have cleared the confusion as to who is in charge of the club between Yasin Osman and Kannock Munde.

The Nomads’ general secretary Mike Butao yesterday said Munde is now in charge of the team having been elevated to the position of acting coach while Osman has reverted to his role as technical director.

Butao admitted that there was indeed confusion because when Phiri threw in the towel, Osman was mandated to take charge of the team on temporal basis as Munde was not available.

“Osman was only in charge during the first week when we played against Civo and when Kannock returned the following week, he took over.

“In fact, he took over the team as we prepared for last weekend’s game against Red Lions,” said Butao.

The Nomads’ spokesperson also said Munde will be in charge of the team until the end of the season under Osman’s supervision.

Meanwhile, Osman has said despite two back-to-back victories over Civo United and Red Lions, the Nomads are not yet safe from relegation.

Wanderers are ninth in the 15-team premier league, with 27 points from 22 games.

“If we could win at least one or two more games from the remaining games then we should be safe, but as it is now, we are not yet in the comfort zone.

“We need to drum into the players that we can do even much better. Our target should be to win all remaining games,” said Osman.
