North FMB U-20 finals Saturday

The 2015 Northern Region FMB Under-20 football league finals will take place next Saturday at Mzuzu Stadium.

Defending champions Fish Eagles, Ada Mana FC from Nkhata Bay and Malemia FC from Karonga will clash in the finals to be played on round robin format.

The team with most points will qualify for the national finals.

Northen Region Youth Football Committee vice general secretary Edson Msopole said the champions would represent the region at the national finals to be staged in Zomba later this year.

FMB is sponsoring this year Under-20 football league to the tune of K20 million.

According to National Youth Football Committee (NYFC) general secretary Chimango Munthali, this year’s national champions will pocket K750 000.

“The runners up will receive K500 000. We also have prizes for district champions and outstanding players,” he said. n
