Northern Region Be Forward Wanderers Supporters Committee on Tuesday disassociated itself from calls by some supporters and zonal committee to fire the current main executive and supporters committees.

The development comes amid the team’s trustees rejection of the same.

North Nomads committee chairperson Joseph Misinde Bolamoyo said the decision to fire the current executive committee will not solve the team’s problems.

He called for stakeholders to sit down and come up with a solution.

“Our point is that the current committee has done well. Of course, we understand that the team is not performing well in the Super League, but that should not make us fire them. We need to wait for elections if we want some changes,” said Bolamoyo.

The Blantyre supporters committee fired chairperson George Chamangwana and appointed an interim committee led by former general secretary Chipiliro Mpinganjira while maintaining Mike Butao as general secretary. Madalitso Kuyera was appointed treasurer. n
