Northern Region institutions to offer CIM

The Northern Region will now have institutions offering Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), according to CIM Malawi Chapter president Stanley Mkwamba.

Speaking on the sidelines of the region’s marketers’ cocktail at Sunbird Mzuzu on Saturday, Mkwamba said the group is discussing with institutions in the region to introduce the course.

He said: “If the approach does not work, then institutions offering the course in other cities will have to extend to the region.”

Mkwamba also urged all marketers to be relevant and fight for inclusion in decision making positions.

The cocktail was the last in a series of events leading to the annual marketers’ lake conference at Sunbird Nkopola Lodge in Mangochi from September 10 to 14.

The grouping has about 200 members.
