No more: Rapozo

The late Rapozo was hospitalized two weeks ago with a condition that required urgent medical attention.

Speaking to Nation Online in an interview this morning, Pempho said late Rapozo had an operation some time back after being found with gallstones in his gall bladder but his condition did not improve much.

She said: “He had gallstones in his bladder and he had undergone an operation where part of his intestines were cut out which was deemed to be the solution to the problem. However, after some time, we discovered that the situation had not improved and he was taken back to the hospital where he had to go for [another] operation where he spent two weeks and a day.”

Commenting on the development, Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development spokesperson Muhlabase Mughogho, described the late Rapozo as a hardworking civil servant who executed his duties professionally.

She said: “He was a great custodian of information and he knew how to serve people well having worked for the ministry for quite some time. He was one of the DCs that knew how to run affairs of his office.”

Rapozo has died at the age of 48 and is survived by a wife and two children.

He joined the local government on 1st March 1993 as an assistant district commissioner in Nsanje.
