Aspiring sports administrators in Nsanje have an opportunity for training at Nsanje Secondary School from today (Wednesday) to Friday, courtesy of the Malawi Olympic Committee (MOC).

Domasi College of Education lecturer Dr Mark Tembo, who will administer the course, confirmed on Sunday on the sidelines of the last cohort of sports management diploma sessions in Blantyre.

“Sports administration courses are the basics for people who could help in administrative guidelines in sports management at various levels to ensure functionaries or people involved in sports know what to do with the athletes and the expectations of the audience,” Tembo said at the Malawi Institute of Tourism Hall.

One of the course participants, Noel Chawantha said he was looking forward to the course, especially to learning sports budgeting fundamentals.

Meanwhile, Tembo and fellow sports diploma course tutor, Eddingtone Ng’onamo on Sunday advised the third cohort to leave a legacy in their respective sports bodies, noting that some do not use the knowledge gained.
