American firm Nsejjere Sports and Casual Wear are set to give domestic sports football merchandise market a fresh start by shipping in 2 000 strips for Big Bullets, Be Forward Wanderers and Silver Strikers each.

The America-based company’s local representative, Jacob Chikoya, last Tuesday confirmed that the jerseys will be here “in the next 10 days.”

“We will soon be engaging all the clubs on how best to sell these items and agree on the price. Each club will have the freedom to put their own selling price. The designs are beautiful. As for Be Forward Wanderers, we should have them in the first week of July. We are shipping in this time around 2 000 replicas for each club. Once this consignment comes to an end, we shall double to 4 000,” he added.

“The approach is that, we are all partners in achieving one goal and, therefore, there has been good interaction between Super League of Malawi [Sulom] clubs and Nsejjere.”

Sulom treasurer Tiya Somba-Banda said Sulom arbitrated the whole process of starting afresh with Nsejjere “and we believe that all will go well as long as the parties operate according to the agreements.

Wanderers general secretary Mike Butao on Wednesday said they had started afresh with Nsejjere after the company, which had dragged the previous Wanderers executive committee to court for breach of contract, withdrew its court case.

  1. What is this Nsejjere or Nsenjere that is always in the Malawi footballing news? Never heard of it elsewhere besides Malawi but we are always told its US based. Is it a brand? Who owns it? Where is it based in the US? Who else us dressed up by this so called Nsenjere? All this lacks in the articles you sports writers put up thinking we all know the background. Are you trainee reporters or from Skyway or Trade Fair journalism schools?
