Nutricom.Services, a juice-making company based in Lilongwe, is planning to expand its manufacturing base with the production of onion juice, which will require an initial investment of K40 million.

The firm has been operational in the country for about three years and manufactures Kombucha Juice and, just recently, they have started producing Kombucha Ginger.

“Since we started our operations in Malawi, we have been growing steadily. By March next year, we want to add a new product to be known as Onion Juice. This will increase our work force to 70 from 20,” said Peter Ndalama, the company’s sales and marketing manager.

Ndalama, in an interview on the sidelines of a corporate social responsibility function in Lilongwe, said the company is concerned with the practice by some unscrupulous traders who are packaging fake Kombucha Juice in bottles similar to the ones used by Nutricom.Services.

“We are urging our customers to be on the lookout for fake Kombucha Juice. If we catch those packaging this fake product, they will be dealt with accordingly,” he said.
