Kalaitzis: We are not involved in the politics

NMC managing director Dimitri Kalaitizis was clarifying on his earlier statement that they will not get involved in the club’s internal politics, but that as sponsors, they were 100 percent behind the players.
This was after a meeting involving Bullets players resolved to ‘fire’ the team’s leadership “for disregarding their welfare, in particular, failing to honour signing on fees amounting to K43 million.”
“We support the players on issues related to their welfare, but we have nothing to do with their move to fire the executive committee,” he said in an interview yesterday.
Meanwhile, the club’s board of trustees has since accepted the supporters demand to call for an extraordinary general meeting (EGM) within 21 days from July 5 2016, to discuss some urgent matters which include club ownership, composition of the executive committee and handling of finances.  n
