Flames forward Atusaye Nyondo scored his third Premier Soccer League (PSL) goal in South Africa on Saturday when he helped his club, University of Pretoria, to come from two goals down and beat Moroka Swallows 3-2.

Nyondo scored the first goal from a penalty that was awarded after Swallows’ Luvhengo Mungorani was adjudged to have handled the ball inside the penalty area. Thabo Mane and Partson Jaure scored the other goals for ‘Amatuks’ while Lerato Chabangu and Felix Obadu were on target for Swallows.

Nyondo is now four goals short of leading scorer Puleng Tlolane of Polokwane City. University of Pretoria are on 12th position with 12 points from 11 games.

Veteran forward Esau Kanyenda’s Polokwane also bagged full points after edging Black Aces 2-1. However, Kanyenda was substituted in the 41st minute for Thobani Mncwanga. Polokwane are 11th on the standings with 13 points from 11 games.

Midfielder Robert Ng’ambi was also taken off stage in the 68th minute for Mogakoladi Ngele as his team Platinum Stars beat Amazulu 4-2. Stars lie 13th on the log table with 11 points from 10 games.

Striker Robin Ngalande was only introduced in the second minute of added time as his side Ajax Cape Town was held to a goalless draw by Maritzburg United. Ajax are on second position with 18 points from 11 games, 11 points short of run-away leaders Kaizer Chiefs.

Kinnah Phiri’s Free State Stars lost 2-0 to Bidvest Wits. Stars are 14th with 11 points from 11 games.
