Old Mutual says it is about time journalists built momentum and their understanding of the business environment in this digital age.
The company’s marketing and corporate affairs executive Linda Poya said they have organised a tailor-made training for journalists in the country this month for this purpose.
She said Old Mutual is dedicated to contributing to the most effective and efficient dissemination of business information to the public.
The media event to be held under the theme How to Maximize the Digital Platform will be held on March 17 in Blantyre.
“We have lined up experienced local presenters and [we expect a South African-based digital platform specialist, Ahmed Kajee, to equip the media practitioners on various topics and how best to utilise the digital platform in this day and age.
“We want local journalists to broaden digital reporting and increase reach to the modern tech savvy generation who do not normally read traditional newspapers,” she said.
