On ‘my husband had a child with his mistress’

Last week, we published a real-life story on page three in which a woman decided to stay with her husband after she found out that he had fathered a baby with another woman he had an affair with. Here is what readers had to say on the issue:

Yes, she made the right move, but I can still sense that deep inside her, there is pain and in one way or another, this will affect the innocent stepchild. As a professional counsellor myself, I feel she needs continued counselling both as an individual and as a couple. This will inevitably be hard work. The husband should be key in the healing process.

If I found out that my husband had a child outside our marriage, I would file for divorce straightaway! The reason for this would be; I would still be hurting inside.
