One dies in LL road accident

One person died on the spot yesterday when a Toyota Sprinter saloon registration BP 41 collided head on with a Toyota Hiace minibus registration MJ 5653 along Paul Kagame Highway in Lilongwe. Witnesses said the Toyota Sprinter, driven by a woman, was coming from Area 15 direction and attempted to overtake another vehicle at a steep slope near Lingadzi Inn when it collided with the on-coming minibus. Several passengers in the minibus sustained injuries while the woman driving the saloon died on the spot, according to traffic police officers on site.
