One Gospel calls for Malawi videos

Listen to this article

Malawian gospel music videos stand a chance of being beamed on digital satellite television, thanks to One Gospel channel.

According to MultiChoice Malawi sales and marketing manager (South) Chimwemwe Nyirenda, the 24-hour gospel music channel has called on local gospel artists to submit their music for consideration. The channel, together with GOTV, is searching for gospel music from East and West Africa as part of a strategy to revitalise the channels offering.

“To submit your music video to one gospel, simply e-mail mvids@onegospel.co.za. After receiving a one-page form from One Gospel, all that is left is to drop your video in the mail. Shortly afterwards, One Gospel will tell you whether the video has passed the required broadcast standards and it will be added to the playlist, exposing your video to audiences across Africa,” said Nyirenda in a statement ostensibly meant for interested artists.

One Gospel beams “music with a message” from all genres, spheres and denominations, offering artists a unique leverage to reach out 47 countries on the continent.
