Orga Family, B1, Lucius Banda head north

Despite missing the Lilongwe show, Zambian artists Organised Family and B1 are expected to tour the Northern region this week together with Lucius Banda and Zembani Band to mark the launch of Banda’sTime.

Organised Family and B1 missed the show at Capital Hotel Marquee in Lilongwe last Friday which was organised by Mibawa.

But Banda has assured fans in the North that Organised Family and B1 will be available for the shows as advertised.

“We are touring the Northern Region with the support of B1 who has already arrived and Orga Family who will arrive tomorrow. Skeffa Chimoto, Dan Lu, Wendy Harawa and Sam Simakweli have also confirmed. So people should expect fireworks,” confirmed Banda.

He also explained why most artists do not hold shows in the North.

“It’s because of transport costs. Fuel alone costs over K200 000. So we implore patrons to be supportive because when more fans patronise such shows musicians will also be motivated to visit the region frequently,” said Banda who last visited Mzuzu in November last year.

Time

is Banda’s 17th album, and it has already been launched in the Central and Southern regions.

Banda is expected to hold shows at White Hill Leisure Centre in Mzimba tonight, Karonga Planet on Friday, The Complex (formerly Key Lounge) on Saturday and Sunbird Mzuzu Hotel’s Boma Park on Sunday.
