Over speeding vehicle kills woman in Chilomoni

Police in Blantyre have arrested 32 year old Gift Mkwizinka, driver of
a vehicle that killed a woman (name withheld) in Chilomoni Township
on Tuesday evening.
Blantyre Assistant Police Public Relations officer Grace Mwale said
the vehicle Mitsubishi Colt Saloon registration number 4726 was over
speeding.

“Upon reaching an area called Bwanoni, the driver failed to negotiate
a curve and swayed to the woman’s direction killing her on the spot,”
she said.

Mkwizinka, who hails from Mwanavumbe village in the area of
Traditional Authority Mlolo in Nsanje will appear in court soon to
answer the charge of reckless driving.
