Kuthandiza Osayenda Disability Outreach Organisation has donated five tricycles and personal protective equipment (PPE) to persons with disabilities in Traditional Authority Ganya in Ntcheu.

In an interview, the organisation’s director George Banda said persons with disabilities were failing to access some services due to mobility challenges.

“We also ask people to support people with disabilities,” he said.

One of the beneficiaries, Tamandani Chankhandwe said the tricycle will ease mobility to school.

Meanwhile, Ntcheu North East legislator Arthur Chipungu (UTM Party) has introduced an initiative to support persons with disabilities by providing them with technical skills, health care services such as physiotherapy and artificial body parts.

“We want persons with disabilities to participate in different social activities; hence, introducing the initiative,” he said.
