Pentecost International Christian Centre (Picc) will hold special prayers for Malawi on March 3 to seek God’s intervention over the country’s economic challenges.
Senior pastor Esau Banda said the prayers will be held under the theme Out of the Horrible Pit.
Banda said the theme is taken from Psalms 40:1-2: “I waited patiently for the Lord; and He inclined to me, and heard my cry. He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my steps.”
He called on people of other denominations in the country to join Picc for the “seven-hour [8am-3pm] intensive battle against forces of darkness for the rescue of this nation.”
The prayers will take place at Picc headquarters in Lilongwe situated along Kaunda Road, opposite Area 49 town houses.
“We encourage all intercessors and well-meaning inhabitants of the land to join us on this day. Let us pray for Malawi. God is ready to hear and answer our prayers.” he said.
