At the age of 26, Piksy is not an ordinary artist. Born Evance Zangazanga, Piksy has achieved what most musicians have grappled to realise over many years and if one were to measure the passion he has for music, they would not be wrong to conclude that the artist talks, thinks and dreams music.

Since 2008, when his name emerged on the local music platform, the third born in a family of three boys and two girls has collaborated in several acts and released several singles and albums with different artists.

The artist has always wanted to become a chartered accountant.

“I should have been a charted accountant by now, but taking early family responsibilities was the barrier. I still wish to go back to school, but I am changing to marketing because of the nature of jobs available,” he explains.

Beyond that, Piksy is an entrepreneur. He currently runs a printing services venture and says it will be a big thing come December as he extends products on offer to include sale of stationery.

During free time, the artist works as a music producer.

“I want to live through music and business and when I die, I want to be remembered as a person who helped young artists attain their dreams,” says Piksy, a member of the Zambezi Evangelical Church.

That aside, Piksy, who resides in Chigumula Township in Blantyre is a proud father. He has a fiancée he is not yet ready to mention, but together they have a son, Izindie.

His mother, too, is proud of him. She describes her son as an easy-going, friendly young man who loves music and art and strives to be original in creative work.

She adds that Piksy believes in himself and is hardworking; hence, she is not surprised that he continues to rise in his endeavours.
