Exciting winger Peter Pindani will be the most notable Silver Strikers absentee in this weekend’s crunch TNM Super League meeting with Big Bullets at the Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre.

The former Bullets player confirmed on Monday that he injured his right knee in training three weeks ago.

“X-ray did not detect a serious injury, but I suspect it is to do with ligaments. I am feeling better. I might return to light training this week. Obviously, I am out of the game against Bullets,” Pindani explained.

Silver assistant coach Hellings Mwakasungula confirmed that Pindani joined on the injury list defenders Bernado Namangwiyo and Panganeni Ndovi.

“We have several players on injury list. It is for this reason that we have signed some youngsters like Jimmy Ukonde, Amadu Umali, Fyson Mtengula and a defender, Jafali Mponda who we are still monitoring, but his paperwork has already been done,” he said on Friday.

Ndovi is, however, hopeful of getting back to action, saying doctors will give him a final assessment after a few days.
