Ireland-based Malawian rapper Pop Dogg has set the ball rolling during this year’s Valentine’s Day following the release of a new single which is ruling the airwaves.

The new single, titled Vibes features the voice of Nigerian Afro beat singer Mazi Floss known in showbiz as Badman Floss and it also acts as a special gift to lovers on Valentine’s Day.

Pop Dogg: This song is danceable at the same time has the ability to sweep off the ladies on their feet

The Work So Hard hitmaker told On The Arts that the single is strictly Afro beat rap project.

“This song is danceable at the same time has the ability to sweep off the ladies on their feet to the dance floor. Basically, the song tries to express that feeling when you love someone so much and you don’t know how else to express it because ‘I love you’ is just not enough,” he said.

In the song, Pop Dogg sings: Mkazi wokongola wa chiMalawi/ Unandiyiwalitsa umphawi/ Adani athu onse kutali/ Ine ndine mkango waukali Pop Dogg/ Love carry me go, Love carry me waka, carry me far/ Anywhere you go girl I de go find you.

The artist, whose real name is Ibrahim Haji, said the single is getting positive feedback and its message basically is to get people celebrate one another in the true spirit of positive vibes.

The song was recorded by Mazi Floss while mixing and mastering was done by Mau Mteteka in United Kingdom.

According to the artist the music video of the same is expected to be out in March.

In the recent past, the rap artist has raised his music profile by collaborating with artist Dan Lu in Work So Hard which topped the music charts.

Pop Dogg is a songwriter, producer, founder and president of his own record label in Ireland called Malawian Ninjaz Records. n
