PP UK wing donates coach to PP
The United Kingdom wing of the People’s Party (PP) on Wednesday donated a 56-seater coach to the party. Speaking during the presentation of the bus at Kamuzu Palace in Lilongwe, chairperson for the wing Hannington Gondwe said they wanted to help grow the party by alleviating transport problems it is facing.
Receiving the coach, President Joyce Banda thanked the wing.
“If you remember well, our party was registered in court. It is also the only party which has a female president. Within a space of one year, the party has managed to gain popularity such that it has 20 000 area committees,” said Banda.
