The Football Association of Malawi (FAM) has said the pre-sale of tickets for Saturday’s 2014 World Cup qualifier between the Flames and Nigeria’s Super Eagles will start today in all the four cities of the country.

FAM commercial manager Casper Jangale said Flames replica jerseys will also be sold at the selling points.

He also said the tickets will be sold in some selected townships in Blantyre as the association steps up the hype for the showdown.

“The main selling points will be Chiwembe Technical Centre, Kamuzu Stadium and Blantyre Youth Centre in Blantyre. In Lilongwe, it will be at Lilongwe Community Centre ground whereas in Mzuzu, it will be at Mzuzu Stadium. In Zomba, the tickets will be sold at the community centre ground,” said Jangale.

He reiterated that the retail cost of jerseys is K6 000 (about $24) while those that will buy from FAM will get them at K5 000 (about $20).

According to Jangale, the pre-sale of tickets will run up to Friday, but no tickets will be sold on the day of the match.

Jangale said 32 000 tickets will be sold; of which, 30 000 will be for the open stands.

The gate charges are K12 0 (about $48)00 VIP, K6 000 (about $24) Covered Stands, K3 000 (about $12) MBC stand and K750 (about $3) for open stands.
