Pre-sale of Zim game tickets starts today

FAM has announced that the pre-sale of tickets for Saturday’s match between the Flames and Zimbabwe’s Warriors will start today [Thursday] in Blantyre.

The game is slated for Kamuzu Stadium and kickoff is 2.30pm.

Football Association of Malawi (FAM) commercial manager Casper Jangale said the pre-sale of tickets will be conducted for two days [today and tomorrow] at designated areas.

“As we stated earlier on, 17 000 tickets will be on sale at Kamuzu Stadium, Blantyre Youth Centre, FAM offices in Chiwembe Township, Chilomoni Metro and Mbayani,” he said.

Jangale also reiterated that the tickets will not be sold at the [Kamuzu Stadium] on the day of the match.

The following are the charges: Open Stands: K500 (about $1.25) ; MBC Stand: K1 500 (about $3.75), Covered Stands: K3 000 (about $7.50) and VIP: K5 000 (about $12.50).

Meanwhile, the Warriors’ team of local-based players are scheduled to arrive by road this evening from Harare and are expected to get the feel of the venue tomorrow.

The squad includes Zimbabwean legend and former Europe-based star Peter Ndlovu who is one of the assistant coaches.

The other assistant coach Callisto Pasuwa will be in charge of the team in the absence of head coach Klaus-Dieter Pagels who is in Germany for a brief holiday.
