Premium Tama, who featured five ladies Thoko Kazima, Marriam Gama, Miriam Mhango and Rhoda Mawaya, won the game in extra time. After full time, the teams were at 20-20.

Mike Kapata posted all the six points in the extra time to separate the tie.

With Kondawni Kumwenda, Ian Jumbe and Robert Tembo in form, Premium Tama led the first-half 14-9.

Premium Tama team manager Mike Chitsime expressed satisfaction with the result, saying the boys played according to instructions.

“It is a great achievement to register first victory of the league by beating the leaders. Today, the  players played as team with unity,” said Chitsime.

Cezobal executive member Harris Chabunya said the league is impressed by the dedication and performance of the teams.

Premium Tama have ascended to fifth position with four points.

Hoops and Banki M’manja (OIBM), who are sharing a four-points tie with Premium Tama, are on positions two and three respectively on basketball differences.
