Youth with Difference, a grouping of youths from various colleges in the country, has donated school uniforms to 21 needy students at Kande Primary School in Nkhata Bay.

In an interview, the group’s chairperson Lumbani Hara said the donation falls under Valani Nawo, Nawo Avale resource mobilisation drive that has printed T-shirts they sell at K7 000 to secure funds to buy uniforms.

“We have also mobilised school fees for two needy students at Ekwendeni Community Day Secondary School [CDSS],” he said.

The school’s head teacher Marshal Ng’oma commended the youth for the support.

“There are many learners without uniforms. Although wearing uniform is not compulsory, the donation will motivate learners to work hard in class,” he said.

The group also plans to donate uniforms to Malengamzoma Primary School in the district and Ekwendeni CDSS in Mzimba.
