Influential music producer Percy Manyozo, alias Pro Pee, has roped in Zomba-based budding artist Postnegative who has soared high with the hit called Undiberekele Mwana.

The song has become a household hit in entertainment circles where music fans have embraced its unique concept which leans into a local, but comical touch.

In essence, Undiberekele Mwana petitions a partner to bear him child, perhaps after a seemingly prolonged time of childlessness in marriage.

Pro Pee described Postnegative as a talented artist who approaches music with creativity.

“In the current competitive music environment, artists really need to pull up their socks to be relevant. And Postnegative has proved to me that he has all what it takes to make good music,” said Pro Pee.

Born Isaac Maloya, Postnegative is a 23-year-old artist, who embarked on a serious music journey in 2008.

“Basically, my music strives to entertain and correct people’s perceptions on certain things. For example, people may look at Undiberekele Mwana as just another song, but at the heart of it is a powerful message which seeks to break gender barriers and negative perceptions which people hold against each other based on gender.

“For example, some men tend to accuse their wives when they are not blessed with children in the family. Yet a problem might have be with the man. Therefore, people need to reflect on issues before rushing into making conclusions or accusing others of wrongdoing,” said Postnegative. n
