As Malawi’s security continues to deteriorate, general overseer of the Light of Life International Church (LOLIC) Prophet F.T. Samuel has asked President Peter Mutharika to declare a national crisis.

In an interview recently, Samuel observed that the country’s security has been compromised.

“We are going through a crisis. Most Malawians are living in perpetual fear and are afraid to engage in economic activities fully. People are getting robbed and killed right in their houses,” he said.

He noted that the state of insecurity was slowly fuelling discontent towards the current administration.

Samuel said there was need for government to explore sustainable solutions towards normalising this situation.
