Quadria Muslims to hold AGM

he Quadria Muslim Association has unveiled plans to hold an Annual General Meeting in December that will see the association electing leaders but also launch a new constitution aimed at promoting welfare of Quadria muslims.


Speaking at a media briefing in Lilongwe today, Quadria Muslim Association chairperson and founder Mabotolo Gwedeza said the meeting which will run from December 10 to 12 this year is key to protecting the association. 


He said the association has decided to come up with the election so that people choose leaders of their choice. He added that the association has also come up with a new constitution that provides for establishment a sub committee known as Shura Committee.

The sub-committee will be vetting members to ensure that there are no intruders in the association.Gwedeza indicated that he will not contest on the chairperson position to give room to fresh blood but he will play the role of patron.


He called on the Quadria Muslim community to put in place leaders that will take the association to greater heights but also promote unity.
